About Me

I’m a Cincinnati girl born and raised, and I love my hometown! My husband, Bjorn, and I got married at the Cincinnati Art Museum because it’s one of our all-time favorite places in Cincinnati. Bjorn and I are high school sweethearts. We met in high school German class as sophomores. We became friends, began to talk more, and eventually went on our first date in the summer of our junior year. Bjorn is one of the best parts of my life. We have been together for 20 amazing years and will celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary this fall as well. We love to cook together, go to concerts, hang out with our puppies, and visit new places. We have three dogs: Rufus, Remy, and Thor. My love for animals started as a young child. I have never not had an animal in my life. They are part of our family and bring so much love into our lives. I am an ESL teacher and love what I do! Helping students learn English to share experiences in the USA and succeed in school is one of the most rewarding jobs. I also love learning about my students’ cultures.

My oily journey began when I was searching for relief from an emotional year set off by new medications I was taking to combat my life-long battle with migraines. I had spent a year in a deep depression, put on some weight, and all around, felt miserable. I was starting a new medical journey to help my migraines. That provided relief for my migraines, but I was looking for something all-natural to help the rest of me get back to feeling good! I was especially looking for something to help support me in times of stress. This is when I found Young Living. My lovely friend from high school, Kelly, was posting amazing testimonials about her journey with Young Living Oils on social media. I reached out to her, did some research, and jumped in with both feet. I am so happy I did!

My Favorite Oil

Definitely Stress Away. I have anxiety and OCD. I have worked hard for a long time to keep them both in check, but it’s nice to have something easy to reach for that
I know will help support my body naturally that helps combat everyday stressors. I love to rub Stress Away on my wrists and the behind my ears. It is one of the most relaxing scents. I love the scent of lime and vanilla together. After applying, I hold my wrist up to my nose and take a few deep breaths. I feel that it instantly starts to relieve the stress that creeps into my everyday life. I even rub Stress Away diluted onto my
dogs’ ears when they are feeling anxious. I love diffusing it with lavender at night to wind down and relax before bed as well. Naturally relieving stress throughout my
day really helps keep my anxiety at bay.

First Oil Success

The first oil I tried was Lavender. Every once in a while I need some support to wind down at night, especially when I had been hit with a migraine that day. The first time I tried Lavender, I rubbed a little on my feet and my pillow and had a wonderfully, restful night! To this day, I still diffuse Lavender before bed. I’ve even made a night-time pillow spray with distilled water, witch hazel, lavender, and sacred mountain. The combination really sets the tone for a great night!
